David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Prolific children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the firm stated: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was made after an review of allegations of questionable actions involving women.
The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books in total, which features a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
