Nearly Ninety Flights Associated to Epstein Allegedly Arrived at or Departed from UK Airfields
An investigation has identified that nearly 90 aircraft journeys connected to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein reportedly touched down at and left British airports, with some allegedly transporting British women who assert they were victimized by the found guilty child sex offender.
Flight Logs Reveal Pattern of Movement
These aviation records were part of thousands of legal papers and papers released by Epstein’s estate that have been released over the past year. The review uncovered 87 flights linked to Epstein – featuring many that were not previously known – coming into or leaving from UK airports between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Passenger Details and Post-Conviction Flights
Unnamed women were documented among the travelers entering and exiting the UK. Notably, 15 of these British airport journeys occurred following Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting sex from a child.
“This is ‘appalling’ that there had never been a ‘full-scale UK investigation’ into his dealings in the country,” said US lawyers acting for hundreds of Epstein victims.
UK Survivors and Legal Proceedings
Testimony from one of the UK-based survivors aided the conviction of Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell of child sex-trafficking in the US in 2021. But, that survivor has not received any contact by police in the UK, as stated by her Florida-based lawyer.
In a statement, the London's Metropolitan Police indicated they had “not received any further information that would support reopening the investigation.” They commented, “If new and relevant information be brought to our attention, including any arising from the release of material in the US, we will review it.”
Ongoing Document Release and Judicial Decisions
Proposed legislation to make public every document held by the American government in relation to Epstein passed the House and Senate last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to comply. Hundreds of thousands of files are anticipated to be released.
In a related development, a federal judge ruled last week that the DOJ could publicly release evidence from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s long-term associate, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence over the charges.
